What is your shortest job or role you've held?

I got rejected by Tech Company A, joined Tech Company B. On my third day I got a call from Tech Company A offering me the position, so I handed in my notice to Tech Company B on day three. They put me on two weeks gardening leave, fully paid, before I was released.

"Component cleaning" at a local factory that made things out of plastic. They came off the production line and had to be cleaned. I started in the morning, at lunchtime I told them I wasn't going back. It was awful.

Selling American vacuum cleaners (I forget the brand). Cold calling/door to door, etc. About 3 days. Lasted nearly a week in a retail position.

e: it was Kirby vacuum cleaners.

Asda. 3 days. That was 2.75 days of training and 0.25 days of actual work as nowhere during the 2.75 days did they explain my job was to bring stuff from the back of the shelf to the front, 8 hours a day.

Being quite sheltered and having good quality meat and veg meals, one customer asked where the powdered mash was and I almost spat on her with disgust, having never heard of such a thing.

Strawberry picking when I was 14.

First day I got a pittance of £9 cash at the end of the day. Working hours were about 7am to 1pm. Other people were getting above £20 so I put it down to being new.

On the second day I got about two hours in and someone pinched my tray of picked strawberries at the end of the row. Couldn't find the perpetrator so I thought sod this and walked home. I remember that long walk back and it was a fantastic feeling.

Just remembered on the second day a bus load of Chinese people arrived and scurried along another strawberry field in an hour flat. They promptly filed back in the bus and drove off again. It was a bizarre sight.

Night security. One night. :D
What happened? Very little or too many things went bump in the night?

Ha ha, I understand but some people do like convenience especially after work or if they have a family to feed.

Made it a few hours in a hotel kitchen. Was expected to use what felt like near boiling water to wash things by hand.

My hands felt on fire and it just sucked so i walked out.
