I need a ISP for a new house that is suitable for gaming and doesn't cost more than 25 pounds.

I am stuck between Entanet (not LLU) or one of the other providers that do have LLU services but are generally not thought to be as good as Entanet.
These are the LLU providers I can get:

AOL:
C&W / Bulldog:
Orange:
Pipex:
Sky / Easynet:
TalkTalk (CPW):
Tiscali:

tiscali = no
talktalk = no

as for the others cant comment but steer well clear of the two above especially for gaming

Virgins L package broadband is around your price and is 4 or 10 meg depending on area, will be up to 10mb before end of Oct I believe though. Ive had it years and hardly had problems

I found out I can also get the UKOnline LLU service, do you think this will be better than the Entanet non LLU?

This is your best option - they are trialling fastpath. There is more information on this trial in UKOnline sub forum on adsl guide.

be* needs to be expand :( for you i have it its great

oooooooooooh i can get be pro, im guess as i get sky 16mb now i might get close to 24mb? im about 200m from exchange, not that im unhappy with sky but i am thinking of ditching the tv therefore cant have their bb :(

Bullgod = NO NO NO NO

Worst ISP I have ever had - PERIOD

i agree their customer service is as bad as can be, but in defense, i got a 4MB service, and the speed of downloads was always 480kbps, not more or less, 100% stable for 6 months (yes no power cuts in 6 months) :D

but id not recommend bulldog..

o2 is working out good for me right now

have uk online and find it excellent. if ive ever had problems there customer service actually know what they are doing and can normally fix anything with in minutes

AOL, because you are retarded and like to use retarded browsers and have a crap speed, then when you try and get out they'll keep you on the phone hoping you'll get fed up, hang up and not cancel. Worst company/ broadband ever.
Sky aint bad once you upgrade the router (which is balls).
I'm using bethere, which is brilliant for gaming.
