With Plusnet on maxdsl, and of late they have seriously been messing with there system, and file sharing apps are beyong a joke (between 7 am and 1 am its so poo its untrue. Any ideas who to go with.... 40 gig is a limit i can handle, no less a month. Thanks opps cannot get NTL by the way.

Be wont supply me with broadband for some silly reason, saying im too far away to receive it. I would advise anyone on Plusnet, to seriously consider leaving, as its a service thats gone from good to bad within a month. Ive spent ages onto plusnet, and they fobbed me off once to often, offering free months and plenty of un kept promises. Im lost for words.

Ive been on Be`s website, and my exchange is ready, so ive just signed up. Plusnet is the pits and im so mad ive started eating flowers from the garden !!!!
 
i'm with plus net.

ATM gaming and surfing is fine.

downloading and p2p is crap as! 500 kbs max at 2am!!! then that goes after 7am!

but for surfing its fast and for gaming i never have a ping over 20!

I'm looking else were but i really really could do with a unlimited one is BE unlimited??

EDIT: my exchange is getting done in sept 07 but still isn't live :( !!!

Speed depends on a number of factors not just distance from the exchange. Only way to know for sure is sign up!

I am also with be* and they have been excellent.
 
only problem with BE is there call center

thay have lack of info to start

if there's problem they wont deal with it unless u are useing there Be router

and speed big problem at the moment i get 21meg down and only ever seen 1 speed test get above 14meg rest hover around 6-8 meg but Be say this is norm with any isp ???

O yeh only some routers dont work with there dslam netgear end up renewing ther ip ever 40mins cisco routers have problem

if u need static IP cost £4 and email extrea £2 p/m

if i had to rate them and give them 6 out 10
 
2km line length means with Be approx 15 meg, but copper wire quality and even weather conditions may slow it down. "Be"... in a active area will supply anyone within a 5.5 km distance. Ive been accepted now, and am so chuffed. Plusnet was for a time well within acceptable limits , but what has happened over the last month has been a joke. Ive a few friends now on Be and all report good things... of course there are some who have issues, but isnt there always.
 
plusnet = toss, have it back at home, last time I visited the web was very slow during peak hours and torrents simple didn't work.

People rant about Tiscali, but thats what i'm on here at uni and the service is top notch I'd say. (Can actually get bethere here, I would have liked it but it turned out we could get tiscali paid for by the nice people of learning support so the decision was easy :p)
 
im with plusnet also,
had a great service fro 3 years wth little/no dt but for the last month or so the service has deterioated, im moving to bethere also as they rescently activated on my local exchange
