Looking for a bit of guidance on this. Just started looking at job sites and recruiter pages and I am unsure really where to pitch myself.
So I have been running my own company for the past 5 years and working in IT for 11 years in some form. Doing IT support , web development and network/systems admin in education.
I also have a foundation degree in ICT from 10+ years ago and have done some open uni courses.
In the school part of my job I am there main/only IT support so I do everything from replacing toner to network migrations also as part of this I source and help procure equipment for them.
The other half I do web development, the problem "I" see here is I have used a lot of languages but "I" don't think I'm an expert in them. But I don't know if this is just my expectations.
So for clients who want just normal websites I use WordPress and customise a theme for them. I used to be good with the LAMP stack and have built a few projects in old school PHP ( before the frameworks ) , I have used C#.net once or twice. Currently I'm using Ruby on Rails and can make all the normal sites like bogs and to do apps etc. I have built an Asset tracking app for one of my schools and a competition booking site for another group.
Curious to know from people working in the relevant sections what you think I should be applying for?
Thanks
