What just happened to my system?

Re-booted my system which I sometimes do about once a month, it booted to XP and then turned off.
Turned back on and it turned off within 10 seconds.
Removed to work table and hoovered it out, plugged into spare monitor and it turned on but wouldn't go past the BIOS welcome screen.
Unplugged a few things, inserted one by one, booted in and has remained stable for at least 10 minutes - so far so good.


Any ideas, anybody seen this before?

Could easily be a component came ever so slightly dislodged, and it just needed pushing back in again.

I have that now and again with my graphic card, if I move my case.
