Whats the chipset? 845, 865 etc? Its one of those, and going from experience you'll likely end up with an unstable system if thats not heatsinked.

Probably, but by buying a tube you leave some for the future plus give yourself more room for error, if you mess up you just reapply some more.

Should be ok, might run a little hotter but if the clips are fine yes, i'd definetly put TIM soon though.
