So i've been rocking with a Microsoft Razer Habu, Microsoft Razer Reclusa which came with my old PC years ago, and as much as I like them, they are dated and pretty worn.

So i'm on the hunt to replace them, Since I can't remember the last time I bought KB+M I don't have a clue what i'm looking for or budget wise.

Playing a lot of Arma, BF3, BO2, so FPS games and recently a lot of LoL and Wow, so the use of macro keys I guess would be useful.

Also, what would most of you prefer, wireless or wired, I don't mind either but wouldn't mind a clutterfree desk.

Cheers.

personally id prefer a wired keyboard and wired mouse. theres no issue of it "dropping" whilst playing, or running out of battery etc etc.

as for a keyboard, now mechanical ones seem to rule the roost, at this moment in time i have these sitting on my desk

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Osmium Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Red Switch £109.99
1 x TT eSports MEKA G1 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Black Switch £89.99
Total : £211.38 (includes shipping : £9.50).

you do pay extra for a mech as each individual key has a mechanism rather than just a membrane that gets pushed down on the older style keyboards.

if you dont have a budget, id probably suggest a corsair vengeance k95 for you as they have 18 g keys for you to play with also, and are really nice boards.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Vengeance K95 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Red Switch (CH-9000020-UK) £129.95
Total : £139.85 (includes shipping : £8.25).

as for mice it really depends on your "grip" style, size of hand and also which one you think looks nice!

i have one of these:

1 x Thermaltake Level 10 M 8200 DPI Gaming Mouse - White £89.99
Total : £98.69 (includes shipping : £7.25).

but i wouldn't recommend them to everyone as to get the most out of it you have to adopt a "claw" grip.

pretty much all of the mice that ocuk have in their "gaming mice" section are decent though, id stay out of the really low end, and start looking from the logitech g300 (really good mouse btw) and look up from there. there are one or 2 to stay clear from but nothing too bad :)

The K95 does look very appealing, tbh, I've never really noticed my grip style with a mouse, I wouldn't say I have a claw, more of a lazy hand, it just rests on the top, thumb on the side, and the length of my 2 fingers just rest on the LMB RMB

yeh, thats the standard grip imo, thats how i hold mine usually, find a few mice you like, and chuck up a link here (if they are from ocuk) or just the name of them if they are not, and il take a look at them. i dont consider myself an expert on them at all, but i have used quite a few of each, i currently have 6 keyboards (only 2 mechanical ones) and far more mice than id dare to count, so most of what i say will be from personal use rather than a technical point of view.

K70 with MX Brown switches for keyboard (they're coming out soon), and as for mice, it depends, but I'd go with a Sensei Raw for general usage. Loads of good choices actually. M60, Krypton, CM Storm Recon, Zowie EC2, Sensei Pro, G400s, G500s, ....

The new Deathadder is nice for a larger mouse (though I'm not convinced of the build quality), the Logitech Gxxx stuff looks nice too. I definitely want a K70 - not sure how long I can hold off clicking "buy".

the k70 has no g keys though does it?, which is why i suggested the k95
