What keyboard d'you use?

Alienware Tacx keyboard. Used to have a Microsoft sidewinder x6 but found the keys a little on the girly small side

Generic Acer keyboard from 2004

Abysmal backlighting :D

EDIT: do i really have the cheapest keyboard on the whole of OCUK? Damn :(

If you have an old Logitech keyboard (or any device for that matter) then head over to their website and take part in the trade-in program. You get a 20% off voucher code on orders over £49 which means you can save quite a bit of money.

You apply for the trade in program, get your voucher code then shop on their website and apply the code at checkout.

I just bought a solar powered K750 for £55 (normal price is £69) using this offer by trading in my K340 keyboard.

They also have a wireless illuminated keyboard now which looks the business.

Wired keyboards and mice just look so last decade now. Are you old technology, or new technology?

I thought so :p

How many different light sources have you shone on it just to see the Solar App move......;)

Saitek Cyborg. It's a nice board but kind of regret it now as it cost a bit and looks VERY nerdy.

The Razer Arctosa Black. Very strange keyboard as the key labels are black, so you don't actually know what keys are you pressing.. Luckily I know where every key is but would suck for someone who couldn't touch type!

Using a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, by far the nicest keyboard I have ever used. Keys are silent and feel solid, it's got several backlight settings and has multimedia keys. Only issue is that it's a costly investment :p.

Nothing is costly if it's an investment :p

3 things anyone building a PC should always spend healthily on

1: PSU - Don't want a crap PSU going down and taking your hardware with it!
2: Keyboard - Your fingers need to feel good when typing!
3: Mouse - "

:)

My Missus thinks I'm nuts, but my mates think it's cool, they keep bringing stuff around to shine on my keyboard......lol

It's more fun than gaming....for a while anyway.

Ahh yes you have it already, How is it?

Try a few Logitech keyboards (if you can).

G15 here which is great for gaming and light/medium typing, but is by no means silent (for heavy typing). Has great back-lighting.

Logitech's customer service is second to none though. Fact.

This is true, someone on Rogan Board the other week commented about a Logitech support person stating that "if we invest in you then you'll invest in us" when he sent in an RMA application and was treated really well.

They're quite active on twitter and other social networks too and reply to customer comments and requests!

I use an old scarred, scuffed, scratched and stained Microsoft Natural that has had numerous bodged repairs over the many years I've had it, can't bring myself to change it, I'm sure it's only one more major coffee spill away from the wheely-bin by now though.

You got that wrong:

CPU
GPU
PSU

:p

Majority of people don't need a fast CPU and GPU though! Most people do however need a quality KB and mouse, everyone needs a quality PSU though :p

Think of it like car tyres, they're your only source of contact between the road and the car so you should spend well on them!

I know you were probably joking ¬_¬ :p
