Let's see what kind of MMO gamers populate these boards. What is your answer to the below?

Me? I am an 'AAAAAAB' in that order!!! There are no right or wrong answers -- just seeing a kind of cross-section of the boards player's playing style really .. be honest! How do you play these things ....?

Britters ..

1) There are 2 swords. Sword 1 really aesthetically looks good. It's got an awesome name. Other players keep askng about it. A cool purple aura is kind of coming off it. Sword 2 looks like a completely boring ordinaly steel sword, looks nothing special at all. Sword 2 is 1.5% more powerful statistically than sword 1. You can only carry 1 sword.

You wear/carry

a) Sword 1
b) Sword 2

2) There is a page of dialogue, >400 words, explaining in great detail the reason behind you needing to go to the 'Ophalis' system to hunt down a man called 'Jugar'.

a) Read with interest. Why should I hunt down 'Jugar'. Should I accept such a mission? Wow, I'm enjoying the story here.
b) Don't get past sentence one before accepting the mission. Who cares why, the map will show me where .. it's worth XP. I can always just cancel the mission later on so may as well accept it I don't really care why this bloke wants 'Jugar' dead .. I want the XP.

3) The MMO game is asking you to check an area about 3 miles squared to look for a blimin' herb to heal someone for a quest

a) Search it methodically until you find the thing. Can be tiresome, but I accepted the quest so should do the quest!
b) Minimise screen. Go on net. Find out exactly where it is. Maximise game. Go and get it. 5 minutes rather than 25 minutes, job done.

4) Someone a couple of levels lower than you needs help killing the head guardsman at the tower. You'll get no XP for helping him as it's so easy for you

a) Help him anyway -- whats 10 minutes out of your day?
b) Don't help. In fact, you may not even bother responding to his text request. He should know you've really got better things to do then help every Tom, Dick and Harry that needs you ..

5) You've just booted up a brand new MMO

a) Read the single sentence about each character class and choose one that sounds and looks kinda cool
b) You've spent the last 4 weeks reading about 100 stats on each class. You choice will be based off the fact Paladins get a double saving throw against a Minotaurs axe-swing, and have 'Smother' ability at level 15 .. although you'll start an alt as a 'Demon lord' to try the level 30 'Summon' ability ..

6) You have 16 quests to do. The game can handle you having up to 20. Do you ..

a) Clear off some of those 16 quests. Trying to get into the spirit of the world -- people are waiting for them to be done. You don't want to let people down ..
b) Just grab an extra 4 quests. Any old quests will do who cares. Maybe you'll be walking somewhere and chance upon the 'Goblins of Maedrea' or whatever and then slaughter 10 of them for a quest reward, who knows. And if I don't -- just can the quest later it's only an AI char that gave it you, who gives a stuff if you let him down it harms no-one real ..?

7) Medieval MMO. Some human player comes up to you and says 'Thy art honourable, may thou cast thy eye upon myne armour and see if a trade may please thy lord?'. He's obviously trying to be in character.

a) Play along. Go into medieval character for 2 minutes. Why not .. say 'thou' and 'thee' for a while -- the other guy seems to like it ..
b) Answer to the effect of 'What are you on about? Jees -- talk English noob this is an English server!'.

Rather boringly, I am AAAAAAA :)

Although in Aion of course, I can effectively move the stats on the better stat item onto the stats of the better looking item. So really on that one I am C - Have both :D

never played one

Mr Stuart warned me never to play one, or it would ruin my life, that was a good few years ago now :)

Having read all the questions the only one I can answer directly is Q7, which would be A.

1) 1.5% of what? I'd probably go with A but it really depends on a lot of things.

2) I wouldn't read pages and pages of lore, but I tend to read the first sentence and if it seems interesting, carry on doing so.

3) I'd most likely go B but again, it depends on the context of "3 miles". :p

4) Simple this. Mostly A but only if they ask nicely in proper English. "OMG HELP PLZ" is just likely to get a response along the lines of B.

5) Most likely B, but A if i've not read up about the game.

6) Closer to A but i've done both - I try to pick groups of quests that are all in the same general direction.

Sorry to break the flow a bit, as you were. :D
