What kind of set up would i need to play AC,Pc2,Dr2 in vr?

Edit, ooops sorry mods i didn't even realise there was a dedicated vr section on this forum.

I currently have a i7-4790 (non k) 16gb ram with a RX580 4gb, I really want to try this VR business everybody seems to be raving about. I am used to playing on a 42" Sony TV 60fps at 1080p i am wondering what the best budget option would be VR wise to at least match this? Hoping i can get away with a GPU upgrade and a headset. Any recommendations?

Rift S / CV1 and RTX 2060 /1080 gtx are all within budget so that's good. Its either a vr set up or triple screens. I just youtubed Rift S + RTX 2060 + assetto corsa and WOAH, it looks way better than i was expecting! Is there a big difference between the Rift S and CV1? Vr would be much less hassle than installing triple screens and no space to take up also.

Also why do VR Games need to run at 100+ fps to be comfortable?
