I've got my sexy watercooling running keeps the CPU about 36 Deg c when running Prime95 on both cores, when she overclocked to 3003 x2 (so 6006GHZ if my maths is right) had to up the cpu voltage a bit ( 1.41 volts ) 231 on the FSB.

Can i get more, don't really need it but would be nice to see what she can, with out trying too hard, got 4-4-4-12 T1 on the memmory.

Cheers guys and girls

I'd say you can probably go a bit more on that. It's not 6006mhz like you say though, the actual performance value isn't at all double the single core equivalent.

kool, what kinda volts should i stop at??
don't wanna kill this just finished my build and am bored, but my MotherBoard is a bit hot, at ideal the CPU is 25 and the motherboard is at 45, but that doesn't change too much ( about 3 deg when i'm stressin )

So whats the real clock speed ??
or is that a long and complex answer ??

Cheers

the real clock speed is 3003Mhz, dual core processors are just like having two people working on the same task (if that worked, which it doesn't) unfortunately someone jumped the gun IMO and made multi-core processors with no real use (other than background applications and very few multi-threaded applications), the holy grail in this is splitting a thread down into its componants and having it shared 50 - 50 between the cores, meaning you would in theory get 100% performance boost as something that would take 10 clock cycles with one core would effectively be double teamed and that time halved, as i said though it doesn't work :(

1,5 volts i would stop at for dual cores
on single cores i would stop at 1.55
nice overclock though

lol im just reckless then, was running my X2 for about a week at 1.6V

Just running prime95 now, with a speed of 3028.84 , 233 FSB ( 1164 ) , 1.41 Volts and normal 1.8 memory volts.
Gonna start playing with the memmory timings soon, got " Corsair TwinX 2GB Kit (2x1GB) 240Pin PC2-6400 Dominator 800MHz Dual Channel " @ 4-4-4-12 T1 , any one else got this memory ??

Cheers

nice OC cooljimy84

i have a newly completed machine that has a 5200 x2 and i'm hoping to hit 3Ghz too, the thing is i'm only on air (using a zalman cnps9700led) so i might have temp issues.
