What language

As above i am 60 and getting bored just gaming, i work full time so pc time is limited. I fancy trying to learn a computer language and have been following a few python tutorials, i then got to thinking maybe this is not the 1st one i should choose to learn. I think this is just more of a personal challenge. So you lovely lot, what do you think would be the best place to start for an absolute beginner??

Depends what kind of work you want.

I work developing corporate web based CRM type systems. For that kind of work, it's mostly c#.

Visual Studio Community Edition is free now, so makes getting into that sector relatively easier than it was previously.
