what laptop and where to buy? (cheapo for the mrs)

Hi all

The Mrs wants a laptop to browse the internet and do work related tasks. all internet based nothing fancy only really wants to spend around 200-300

but i hit a hurdle as where do you buy a laptop from? the only place i can recall is pc world or dell?
