Samsung N110 with a 30gb OCZ Vertex and 2gb of ram. OS is a mix of Debian stable, unstable and testing and quite broken in places. I wouldn't call it quick, but it's certainly (still) usable.

edit: ^copy 'n paste it is then

edit: actually, last post 10th September, maybe I wont bother

This Laptop (my work one) :Satelite Pro - T2330 @ 1.6Ghz, 2Gb, 160Gb HD.

Also have an 11inch Powerbook G4 running Leopard for when I'm travelling, picked it up for £100 when I was travelling in Aus 3 years ago, had a great temp job working in the returns department for a computer leasing company, involved me sitting in a room on my own all day working with all the gear returned and wiping it/getting it ready for Auction or going through all the broken stuff trying to get it working/cobble together bits from broken ones. Staff could get the returned stuff at pretty decent prices, but the Apple stuff was generally pretty sought after and hardly any of it went to Auction. If I hadn't been travelling I'm sure I would have bought a hell of a lot more.
