Hi all

I want to overclock my CPU. I have good cooling Corsair A50 keeps it at about 34 DegC.

I am using AMD Overdive (I think I know what I am doing with it).

But I, obviously, don't wasnt to fry my chip.

So what speeds are doable and what would be silly?

I know it's a muddy subject if you aren't with the machine itself.

Say I went to 4.00 GHz... would I be insane? Even the temps stayed low?

Kind regards in advance

Take it in 100mhz steps at the default voltage until it becomes unstable. Then increase the voltage a little bit.
I don't know the limits of your cpu or how mine overclocks in comparison, but I have a Phenom II 1090T 3.2Ghz Hex core with watercooling.
I'm running at 4.2Ghz at 1.475Volts, 35C Idle - 45C load with no problems.

If you want to overclock properly, disable the AMD Overdrive feature.
