Looking for 16gb ddr3 that will work with zero clearance issues with the Phanteks PH-TC14PE in a HAF-X M case. Ideally don't want to have to raise the front fan too much, although the HAF-X M can take coolers up to 196mm in height.

Am thinking 4x4gb of the low voltage samsung with the black pcb's would be the way to go.

Then again, I'd prefer to have the option of upgrading to 32gb at some point in the future, so maybe the 2x8gb Corsair LP Cas9 or 10 1600mhz kits. How would this compare in terms of overclocking to the Samsungs.

Others on my shortlist are the Patriot Viper Xtreme (2x8gb) CAS9 1866mhz kit, G.Skill RipjawX (2x8gb) CAS9 1866mhz kit, G.Skill Sniper (2x8gb) CAS9 1866mhz kit, G.Skill TridentX (with heatspreaders removed) (2x8gb) CAS8 1866mhz kit.

Thanks, yeah I remember reading some posts before about how the Corsair vengeance are not great clockers, so its no surprise the lp's are not so good either.

Was about to buy 16gb samsung green but price has rocketed and not too far off price of 2x8gig team extreme or g.skill trident x. Bummer.

Thanks lads. Should have checked back on this thread earlier but went to my local pc store today and bought 16gig G.Skill Trident-X 2400mhz (2x8gig for only a tenner more then the Samsung 16gb kit.
