Budget of no more than £1600 and it's not easy to find something. Shame Apple don't do a Mac Mini Pro with a decent dGPU. No interest in Windows, has to be OSX.
I want a decent 4K desktop experience and to play Warcraft. Happy to play Warcraft in a window at 2560x1440 rather than 4K to be more realistic on graphics power needs.
The 5k iMac is lovely but I really want a much bigger screen so that's out.
Options are...
15" MacBook Pro with the m370x 2Gb graphics, not super powerful but might just do it but hard to find real world examples.
Mac Mini, graphics are not powerful enough for light gaming.
Mac Pro 2013, can get a 2nd hand base Mac Pro within budget but it's quite outdated for the money and the D300 graphics are not great.
Create.pro Mac Pro's are pretty awesome but they are expensive and only run OSX Yosemite. Always going to be on the back foot with a Hackintosh and software.
Anyone got experience in what I want, realise it's very specialised. Apple really should release a small cube type tower with limited options of desktop CPU and GPU. Would be great to have a quad i7 skylake machine with a 980ti. You could choose between i5 or i7 and a 960/970 or 980 graphics with 16Gb ram and 256/512/1Tb SSD's.
