What Macbook to get for University/Work?

Hi,
basically I'm going to, as soon as I narrow down my choices & options, going to buy a Macbook. However, I'm not particularly sure where is the best place to buy one (other than I know Apple has a Student discount), or which model is going to fit what I need. I have a budget of around £1,300 & I would use the laptop for general university work but also for using Creative Suite, more specifically things like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & Premiere, which I use for my job.

Any advice on what to get & the best place to get it is appreciated.

That budget will get you the base model 13 inch pro so that's what I'd go for.

Are you taking the (now relatively pitiful) Higher Education discount into account?

£1300 (well, £1330 something) will get you the 13" touch bar MBP. rather than the entry level. The pitiful discount is now 10%, the good ol' days are gone but better than nowt i guess :|

I was not, basically I'd go for whichever MBP you can get in the budget. I wouldn't go for the Air or normal MB.

If you're getting a Mac, you want to be getting at least the 13 inch with Touchbar, and the 2018 model. Anything else will be underpowered for the stuff you're working on.

Really, I would be getting a Dell XPS 15 in your position.

I would seriously look into a second hand machine on that budget. The 13" Pros are nice.
