Hi all!

I purchased this system around 14 months ago.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/infi...-watercooled-extreme-gaming-pc-fs-453-oe.html

it’s fantastic and I love the water cooled system.

What I want to know is there anything I need to be aware of in regard to a water cooled system? I keep looking at the water flowing through and it looks ok.

Do I need to change the water at any point? Or be aware of any potential issues that may occur?

any help or advice would be great.

I would assume so somewhere.
I am guessing it’s as simple as draining the liquid, flushing it out, then topping it back up again with the correct substance?

Depends how much effort you want to put in and what fluid you are going to put back in, as well as exactly where the drain port is. If you can get the loop mostly empty and are replacing it with the same coolant as before, then you might decide to just drain it and then refill it.

If you're putting a different coolant in, then you might want to fill the system with distilled water to dilute the residual coolant down and then drain it again, or use a cleaning/flushing solution before refilling with the new coolant.

I am sure you'll get some more opinions in a bit :)

I just don't get this, buying a pre made custom loop PC and knowing jack about what to do with it?
A lot of people buy stuff they don't know much about then learn how to maintain it.

That’s why I am asking for advice :)
Exactly

You could also call overclockers for advice as they built it, they may be able to tell you what to do, how much you need and what to get.

Spoke to OC this morning and they advised that the coolant should be changed every 2 years.

He also provided me with some good basic advice and pointers. I said I would ring back in 10 months for further guidance but It didn’t sound too complicated in regard to emptying via the reservoir.

DUST your case out!
Radiators, fan grilles, intakes, all those little gaps will trap dust. I'm sure you have filters, but they will only reduce dust, not eliminate it... and that build up will impact your cooling performance.
Get an air duster or a compressor and give it a good blow out. I do mine once a month, personally, but I also live with three dogs.
