What make / model alloys are these?

Hi fellow petrolheads,

I'm looking for a set of black alloys to go on my new 850R which I will soon own. I love the look of the alloys in this picture but what are they? They aren't RS6 Avant standard that's for sure.

I like the fact that they are simple & matt finish (not glossy)

I don't know much about wheels, but they look like the 'standard' audi wheels painted matt black to me.

arent the standard audi 5 spokes a lot thicker than that?

They're either std RS6 painted black, or

std RS6+ (although I think they were more anthracite or gunmetal than black)

They look like 850R/T5 alloys to me.

OK so it does seem like they are sprayed black. What is the deal with doing this? Surely the paint just flakes off after a while?

I really want matt look black wheels like that but I don't like the idea of buying a decent set of alloys and then spraying them with a can of halfords black........

Are there places you can take them to be sprayed properly, and if so how much would this be.

have a scout around for places doing Powder Coating thats the super tough last a long time finish, and probably what the pictured alloys are finished with. It can be done really cheap if you just go to a backlane painting shop, or top dollar through a alloy refinishing specialist place.

But ultimiately, paint is paint, as long as they dsont completly mash it up ,the finish with matt black can't go far wrong, you can save money and do the prep work yourself too, sandblasting or lots of sanding/cleaning!

Cost not really a problem unless it's really excessive. I'd prefer the finish to be durable.
