What makes you go 'wow'?

When I go somewhere and there are no other people there. The silence really gets me.

Yup, I would pick that too. I remember a few years ago I went to the Scottish Highlands (where I had been many times before), got out of the car after a 9 hour drive, and just took a deap breath and stood there in the middle of nowhere. All I could hear was the wind through the trees, the gentle lapping of the loch and a skylark up above......I was, quite literally, reduced to tears.

Then a couple of minutes later three of these came screaming over at treetop level:

And I jumped into a hedge with my ears bleeding and my underpants filled.

So two "wow moments", one after the other :D

Amazing landscapes

Looking out of a plane when you are above the clouds

When a song changes into the exact next line you were hoping for, and you get that tingly feeling.

When something like a hot air balloon, plane etc is flying low over you... you feel incredibly small

When someone delivers a great speech, could be in the movies (independence day) or real life

Is it wrong that I have an extreme urge to stick an axe in people who type "lolz"?

As for what makes me go 'wow' - hearing a Top Fuel dragster engine fire up. Never get tired of that.
No, embrace the urge!... err I meen.... *Runs off into the hills singing about the chicken conspiricy while wearing a tinfoil hat and atempting to fly*

My baby learning stuff. Like, how does she suddenly figure out that when I tickle her, it's funny. Or how does she start out utterly unable to do anything, but now she's learning to put a spoon in her mouth and pick things up.

HOW DOES SHE LEARN!

It's just incredible. It's like a computer writing drivers for itself. It's nuts.

Agree with you there 100%.. As a human our little ones are simply amazing.. Its alos a "wow" factor how they know at such a young age eg. 2 , when they can talk and sort of put a small sentance together, that they know what a swear word is and how naughty they are too.

We came back from holiday a few years back and my daughter was in the back of the car and my father in law said "look at that T***" (stupid driver that was speeding past us) and my daughter instnctivly went "OOOOOHHH " and put her hand over her mouth and said "Grandad swore"

She never heard that word before even in the context on how it was said. It still amazes me how fast they learn and and how they learn even if we dotn give them the incentive to learn things..

WOW

Looking at the stars and wondering if something is looking back.

I get that also, just thinking about it, and thinking what could be out there, it is a shame we'll probably never know.

Be an even greater shame if it turns out there isn't anything else out there.
