what memory and hd

hi all, im getting a gigabyte mobo (Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3P),6600 core 2 duo,8800 gts but am not sure which memory or hd to get, it will be mainly for gaming, maybe overclocking the 6600, can you help

p.s ive heard samsung spinpoint is good but still not sure and not worried about the size, but has to be quick and quiet

Crucial ballistix seem to be the pick of the crop at the moment with the pc5300 at £81 having the ability to overclock easily over 1000mhz. They simply are the best bang for buck at the moment.

The best 7200rpm at the moment imo are the seagate 7200.10 series. They give close to raptor performance, however if its quiet you seek then i hear those hitachis are good. I have two seagates in raid and they give me over 200mb/s in hdtach.
