To reach 4GHz, 1600MHz memory will be fine, you should be able to achieve that no problem. I've got myself some 2000MHz, but haven't really pushed it to it's extents, hopefully can get quite a big overclock with it
Because there is so much memory bandwidth on a triple-channel DDR3/i7 setup, there is very little gain from using expensive ram. Just get the cheapest PC3-12800 (1600MHz) stuff you can find that operates at 1.65v or lower.
