i currently have an overclockers motherboard bundle Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard with Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/4GX). i want to increase the memory to 8gb+. would it be best to add 4 or 8gb to my current sticks (and if so which ones!), or should i buy a new memory bundle (8gb) to replace them (if they wont all work together?). can anyone tell me what to choose for my setup. i currently have an i5 2500k cpu on a 64 w7 system. (want to upgrade as i want to play x rebirth and specs say it recs 8gb memory!). any advice on good memory deals for my system for under £80????

Thanks for the replies. I am a bit confused tho with what memory I can fit to replace the existing 4gb. It is listed as ddr3 pc3 12800c9 1600mhz, I have no idea what that all means, but do I have to find memory with the same description, ie the new must be pc3, must be 12800c9 at 1600mhz or can I get different. I just had a quick look in the shop here and have seen avexir m power yellow series avd3u1600904g-2cm, or the patriot viper pv38g213c1k, but this has a slightly different tech spec to my existing so wold this not work?

thanx for the reply with the links to the memory they have given me some good options. now i need to decide if to go for the Avexir MPower Yellow Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit or the Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit. any advice on these????

Another question! Does any memory that I fit have to have the same spec in its description ie. 12800c9 1600mhz or can I install any ddr3 dual channel? Was wondering as some seem to have a faster speed like 2133mhz but have 12800c10 etc after them. Also, as I already have crucial hyperx memory in my system am I able to add the 8gb crucial memory on sale to those to bring my system up to 12gb? I would then have the original 2x2gb hyperx + 2x4gb hyperx. Would this work, be a problem to install or not be worth it?
