What Memory For Asus

Im looking at building my son a new Amd pc using Ryzen 5 2600x and an Asus prime x470 pro atx but im unsure what memory to use, im going for a colour scheme also so it needs to be black with white or changeable rbg. Many thanks in advance.

Do you know if this kit is suitable for a system with an ASUS X470-F with a Ryzen 2700X? The MB supports 3600MHz memory but the kit is not on the QVL list.

No kit is consistent on ryzen at 3600 due to imc limitation. This kit will run 3200 c14 or 3466 c16 on that board providing your imc and infinity fabric are capable of these frequencys.

Thanks for the response, the board does support 3600Mhz but if it doesn’t I’ll try the other settings as there seems to be some debate as to whether 3200 CL14 vs 3600 CL16/18 is better for real world use. Hopefully Ryzen 7nm will improve again the memory support again when it comes out, I certainly plan to upgrade when it does so a bit of future proofing never does any harm as it doesn’t seem like memory prices are reducing anytime soon.

Its not the board or the mems you have to worry about on 3600 with Ryzen...Firstly can the CPU do it??? IMC and Infinity fabric...If not does not matter which board or sticks or settings....

would personally pick up 8 Packs 3200hz kit , should be plop in, set in bios and off you go.
if you want some fun, 4000hz kit under 8 Pack Xtreme and use ryzen ram calculator and hope youve got a good chip!

are these stunning kits coming out soon, those NO idea if they are Samsung B-die , and only 3600/4000 hz kit so you'll be tweaking
