What memory for those Z77 boards?

Hi guys, need some help here, i got those two boards a while ago and only now have chance to install them, but the user manual say that i need Ivy Bridge to use 1600mhz memory, but i already got 2 Sandybridge cpu, so i don't want to spend more money on new cpu, so should i just use 1066/1333 memory instead?

the 2 boards i have is....Gigabyte Z77-DS3H and Z77X-UD5H.
and the cpu i got is Intel I5-2500K LGA1155 and G850 Pentium.

The 1600mhz ram will work just fine!!

You can use the 1600MHz RAM with the Intel i5 2500K but with the Pentium, it will underclock it to 1333MHz

Thanks for the advices guys, also will Rams higher than 1600mhz work with the I5-2500k with those boards?

Should do but wont give any performance advantage.

it shouldn't underclock it with the Pentium chip,ive run my ram at 2133mhz with one,a g620
