The time has come again where I am in need of a new laptop, I have an msi gx620 currently with the following spec:
Centrino 2 p9500
4gb ram
320hdd
9600m gt
15.4" 1680x1050
The machine has been great but has had a hard life and is now about a year old and is starting to show signs of its age, my usage is daily use for at least 8 hours while at work and is often used for a little game of an RTS or something in the evenings.
My requirements are pretty specific in that I want a high screen res but no biger than 15-16" screen, working with low screen resolutions in my work becomes annoying and carying about a 17" machine every single day to london and back and between clients is a no no.
A few other things:
1) A more powerful video card would be nice but is not essential, a downgrade is however not acceptable.
2) Battery life is not overly important, as long as it can do 2hours im happy.
3) cannot be massively ugly i.e. alienware as I do have some kind of image to upkeep, for clarification my msi is now black and silver after dropping it several times and having to replace all of the casing. (which if I can't find another machine that meets my specs is what I will do again).
budget is £1100 max but closer to £1000 would be preferable.
Any ideas?
