what mobo for a G3258?

so rof reasons, maybe haviung a forced "upgrade" atm thinking, maybe go intel and a G3258 (because i hate the idea of locked cpu's) then when loss poor can upgrade the cpu. so what mobo? also worth going with a more high end mobo or better to go cheaper and then put that money to later upgrading cpu?
 
I would go for something like a gigabyte z97 gaming 5, it would be a great all rounder and a good price when new. You will need the z97 chipset to overclock
 
No you don't. Several H81 motherboards will overclock it and a couple of B85 boards will as well. As the wifes Gigabyte B85M-D3H overclocks my 4670k that should do the G3258 as well. There is a nice list of boards and G3258 clocks achieved on them here.
