What MoBo should I get?

I want the MotherBoard to have:

-At least 4xDIMM 1000MHz or higher
-CPU over clocking tools
-SATA 3.0 ports as wells USB 3.0 ports

SLI is not really important to me. Nor is XFIRE.

I was going to get an i7-2600K (Socket 1155) but if you think it would be better to get an AMD (AM3/AM3+) with an AMD MotherBoard, as it will provide substantially more, feel free to say.

If you can think of any more things that a good MoBo should have feel free to say.

Thanks in advance,
Billy

Are you sure it has over clocking for CPUs?

You can overclock manually or it has "AXTU - The All-in-1 Tuning Software".

ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility (AXTU) is an all-in-one software to fine-tune different features in an user-friendly interface, which includes Hardware Monitor, Fan Control, Overclocking, OC DNA and IES. In Hardware Monitor, it shows the major readings of your system. In Fan Control, it shows the fan speed and temperature for you to adjust. In Overclocking, you are allowed to adjust the CPU frequency, ratio and some voltages for optimal system performance. In OC DNA, you can save your OC settings as a profile and share with your friends. Your friends then can load the OC profile to their own system to get the same OC settings. In IES (Intelligent Energy Saver), the voltage regulator can reduce the number of output phases to improve efficiency when the CPU cores are idle without sacrificing computing performance.

No idea if it's any good or not.

For a gaming system a 2500K will perform as well as a 2600K.

The only real difference with the 2600K is hyperthreading which is useful for things like video encoding but not gaming.

You seriously think I plan to buy all this stuff I ask about :D

I do it to learn more about parts and such. Also because I find it fun to figure out different possible builds, it's like a hobby

I did buy a 550Ti, PSU and case a couple of days ago though, so your advice doesn't go to waste! ;)

What sort of FPS do you get with the 550Ti?

Hehe, I haven't even got the computer working yet!

I'm waiting upon a right angled cable, the card covers up the ports.

I'll post back here when I get it working if you wish, when I install the cable. Should be tomorrow.

When do you think OcUk will start stocking the PTS73 Stingray? I know it's top of the range and rather expensive but it's a great MoBo ;)

EDIT: Also, do remember, my CPU is a dual core 1.8GHz. Because of this, the FPS won't be as much as it could be.
