What Mobo....?

Bit out of the loop for the past couple of months.....

But i'm gonna sell my E6600 and DS4 mobo and go for Quad core in a couple of months...

Big question is, what Mobo??? (I don't want another Gigabyte... EVER)

Think i'm gonna go for an Asus board...

P35?

Any ideas?

What problems have you had with your DS4 thats put you off Gigabyte so much?

OMFG!

Where do you want me to start?

1. 1st board wouldn't work with Conroe! RMA'd
2. 2nd board battery clip broken RMA'd
3. 3rd board, no ram compatibility, had to borrow a celery to sort it and flash bios!
4. When trying to clock the second you pass a stable clock, it just cycle boots and then re-sets the bios so you have to re-flash & start again!
5. MCH won't do more than +0.1v without borking!
6. FSB won't do more than +0.1v without borking!
7. Had to reseat the chipset coolers cos they weren't seated correctly!

Gimme an Asus, Abit, DFI or MSI anyday!!!

I would say go for the ASUS P35 Deluxe as it looks like a great clocker as well as having support for penryn, that is going to be my next upgrade in the summer.

Whats the difference between the std P5K and the P5K deluxe wifi...

Apart from the obvious wifi (which I have no use for) or dual LAN (which I have no use for) & the £60 extra price tag?

Is it a better clocker?

Can't see any other differences!

it also has the voltage damper thing which minimises the vdroop... i've just RMA's my P5K deluxe after 5 days cuz it just died, serves me right for buying a brand new non tried-&-tested board... i'm just unlucky though dont let it stop you having a go

Gonna go water cooled on my next setup so, need the mbo to do everything possible to enhance the clocking!
