Ok so recently my monitor died and its been a while since I was in the market for a monitor and things have changed dramatically, HDMI has happened for one.

My current set up is one 770 gtx, the type of work I do could benefit from a second monitor thohgh I've got by so far so good, thus not essential.

Gaming the odd fps but mainly RTS or kerbal.

So what should I look for? 4k? - curved screens? - g-sync? - 3D?

I just don't know.

Oh final thing budget I'm happy to splash about £350 for a single screen. If I am to go dual i was thinking of getting a cheaper monitor for the second screen though i dont know.

Overclockers forums your my only hope.

What sort of games are you playing or what you using your pc for your pc will struggle with 4k, gsync is well worth it tho to run the latest games at lower fps but with still good quality picture

I really do lke what I have seen in regards to g-sync, though I'm a little wary of buying in to it as then I would be locked in to buying Nvidia cards from now until I was to change my monitor again. Currently I'm playing a lot of Don't Stave, Payday 2, Planetside 2, Red Orchestra 2, Kerbal, Napoleon TW, Sniper Elite 2.

Though I was planning on getting Titan Fall and Shadow of Mordor, in a few months. I have only had my GPU for a year so don't really want to upgrade for another one.

So if 4k isn't possible yet oh well no worries.

Though gaming is starting to become a secondary concern when it comes to my PC, 3DS Max, Solidworks and Photoshop are now my major things.
