Greetings:

I'm from Spain, so excuse for my english.
I'm searching for a 24", but i according to this:

-I don't want a TN panel.
-I would like glossy screen
-I prefer a better contrast and black levels over viewing angles or color accuracy, ok, if i could have both things it would be better

There are good 24" glossy but they are TN (acer g24, hp w2408h, etc), good 24" pva or *va or ips (Hyundai W241D, HP LP2475w, etc) but they are matte screen.
So the only one I've found is the famous here hazro hz24wi, but black levels are not very good
Is there anything as good as the nec 20wgx2 today in 24"? Is there another option (glossy, non TN) ?

Thanks

At least you did your research.
In my opinion the blacklevel of the hz24wi would be the least of your worries. Just read the mega thread (green snow, no backlight control). But then again many are happy with it and it's possibly the best 24" inch available.
I previously owned a 20wgx2. It has even worse blacklevels than the Hazro. So if this is your only worry you would be positively surprised by the Hazro.

I have my eyes on this one. But waiting for reviews. This one might kill the Hazro:

Claimed

+ At the above, its an MVA panel so seriously overpriced for what it is.

I recommend the Hazro if you have a Geforce card + aren't going to use the HDMI input (PS3 / xbox360) as you might get sparkling green pixels otherwise.

Thanks for your answers

I've read the whole thread of the hazro, and banding issue has been fixed as I think, and the green snow effect can be fixed/minimized too with a software called powerstrip, even many users don't suffer it or it depends of the DVI port, well, maybe could be fixed in any way. I even knew the backlight was very strong and this i think has been fixed too.

But I didn´t knew about backlight control issue, ¿how can be then chosen the backlight you want?

The NEC you tell me looks great, but (appart from price), it comes with a matte screen, isnt it?

Thanks
