Hi All,
I am looking at renewing my monitor. Any suggestions about ultrawide or 144Hz?

My spec is....

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 6600K @ 3.50GHz 27 °C
Skylake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1599MHz (16-18-18-36)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z170X-Designare-CF (U3E1) 29 °C
Graphics
Acer S231HL (1920x1080@60Hz)
8192MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (ZOTAC International) 44 °C
Storage
1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164 (SATA ) 31 °C
931GB Crucial CT1000MX500SSD1 (SATA (SSD))
Optical Drives
No optical disk drives detected
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Are there any noticeable differences between 75Hz and 144Hz?

First, you are not going to get a G-Sync monitor for £250 unless you go second hand.

£250 is a fairly low budget in the land of monitors, therefore you will have to go with a VA or TN panel. I assume you want a higher refresh rate... why get a 1070 if you are not going to be gaming!

You need to do some research, but here is a link to monitors for consideration... I might be inclined towards the Samsung C24FG73, or maybe one of the MSI Optix monitors.
