What Monitor ??

Hello Folks,
I’m looking into getting a new monitor. I use my PC for office work and gaming (well Eve Online – would like this to look as nice as possible when playing) and was wondering out of these, what would be the best choice?

Dell UltraSharp U2711 27"

Benq XL2410T 24 (sounds good for gaming but not sure about office work)

Should I stick with 24” screen or will 27” be ok?
Would I be better going for a 120mhz screen or an XHD screen?

PS I’m also open to any other monitor suggestions

I've been looking at the BENQ XL2410T simply because I miss playing games at over 60hz :x recently been looking for a decent crt but their so hard to find I might give up!

Yeah i'm temped by the benq also but i'm worried about using it for general office use.

Another vote for the BenQ, great monitors which are very well made.

The price on it is "ok" wouldn't say great for what it is but then I think to myself... hmmm just another £200 and I could get myself a 27" dell IPS

I might just end up having to buy both

let us know what you think when you get it

make sure to update the firmware straight away if it isn't already on latest as it fixes some backlighting issues I've heard ^^.

Also heard that the picture/colour etc is pretty bad straight out of the box so your probably going to need to calibrate and fiddle about with the settings a bit.

Monitor is great like folks say its so smooth (playing Eve). Even using it for everyday office stuff is spot on. Did take me around an hour to get it set though. Would recommend the XL2410T to anyone
