hey guys looking for a suggestion as to what monitor I should be getting. Currently I have a basic 1080P monitor and want to upgrade to a nice 1440P monitor.

My uses include basic CAD, films and gaming. Mostly RTS not FPS so not too interested in 120Hz monitors. Its clarity and resolution that are more my thing.

I have I would say max £350 but lower would be brilliant! If you guys would reccomend a 24" over a 27"+ because it was a better monitor but still 1080P then I would consider it also.

So far been looking at:

If you want a higher resolution so you actually have some benefit from the screen size compared to your current monitor then you only need to look at the following two monitors:
  1. DGM IPS-2701WPH
  2. Hazro HZ27WC
All other options are far outside your budget. tftcentral.co.uk has an excellent review of both monitors, but basically the Hazro gives you better contrast, lower input lag but only one connection option (dual-link DVI). The DGM has a wealth of input options so you could hook up a console if needed, it does however have more input lag and poorer contrast.
