** What monitors do you have? **

Samsung syncmaster 226bw ~7 years old
Acer p223w ~6 years old
Viewsonic somthing or other too damaged to read.

All 1050p :D.

I plan on waiting to see 4k ips screens before I upgrade. The sammy is adequate for design work and the acer is lovely for gaming for now:). Until GPUs are up to it and the 4k tech has matured I don't see much point in wasting my money yet.

I still use a 32" Samsung LED TV @ 1080p as my main monitor (5 years). But id really like a 32" BenQ/Sammy/ or that Philips 40" UHD.

I'm just holding out a bit longer until i move flats... ;)

Well lol I would have them set as such....but if I do....I actually find things on screen a little too small....but I may play with them a bit.....cos if I have them set at 2560 x 1080 things on screen look a bit pushed in at the sides if that makes sense ?...reading a webpage is a no no lol

A Dell 2408WFP @ 1920x1200 and an iiyama PLH2130 @ 1600x1200.
Will occasionally run the PC through my 50" panasonic UT50 plasma too.

Currently using a dual monitor setup with a 23" 1080p (Alienware AW2310) 120Hz and 1 20" (1680x1050) (Dell 2007WFP)

I also have another Dell 20" (2009WFP) display along with them in a triple monitor setup but I felt it was unnecessary (and awkward ergonomically on the desk I use) to have more than 2 displays so reverted back to a dual setup. I've never really been happy with the Alienware panel as despite the high refresh rate its colours and contrast look poor next to the older IPS 2007WFP.

I really want to ditch the dual monitor setup and go for a single large monitor so trying to decide between a 34" 21:9 1440p monitor or a 32" 16:9 4k one. I want IPS (or equivalent quality) again so will probably need to wait for prices to fall if I go for the latter. Also, the pending G-sync/Freesync/Adaptive-sync standards battle and the recent appearance of 144hz IPS panels on the scene is making it tough to decide on what to buy.

Will probably wait until CES is finished this week and see what, if anything, is announced.
