Just light infrequent gaming. Some of the titles, I'm cpu bound.B450/550 and you'd get away with 3200MT/s RAM, faster will work but the performance increase is low single digits assuming gaming use case. To be fair even an A520 would probably be fine if you're on a tight budget.
So, what's your use case and budget ?
I haven't looked into AM5 tbh. Maybe I need to.If you are upgrading from an old system, do you really want to buy into AM4? The 7600 is generally quite close (depends on the game) and you can get pretty cheap B650 boards now.
This is the cheapest B550 board I can see in stock:
My basket at OcUK:
- 1 x Asus TUF Gaming B550-Plus WIFI II (AMD AM4) B550 ATX Motherboard (SKU: MB-6HX-AS) = £106.00
- 1 x Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB (2x16GB) 3600 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Dual Kit (CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18) (SKU: MY-4CL-CS) = £49.99
Total: £159.98 (includes delivery: £3.99)
Got a 6600k @4.2, so anything really is an upgrade. If you don't have the 5700x3d already and want to buy new then yeah maybe spend a little more and go AM5.
Going 2nd hand you'd save with AM4 but be at a dead end, what do you have now?
Had the Noctua 92.The 7600x doesn't come with a stock cooler the 7600 does so you will have to get one if not already..
Define fly up?
Have you tried CO yet?
