Thought i would look at this from a different angle so i dont miss out on what could be the perfect motherboard for me. I am building a new PC and already have the components in my sig, but the motherboard being the most important element, is proving to be a tricky decision. I normally buy budget motherboards in the £35 to £45 range but now have a budget of £100 to £130. My requirements for a motherboard are...............

Z170 chipset
ATX or mATX
Intel gigabit LAN port
4x DDR4 memory slots
Crossfire and SLI support
Dual BIOS
Fan control in BIOS
DVI and HDMI ports

I am interested in ASRock, Asus and Gigabyte boards in that order, I have very good experiences of ASRock, never owned an Asus and only had Gigabyte AMD boards.

Any help with my decision will be greatfully recieved.

I think the more research you do the harder it gets. One review is positive but another not so for the same board.

This. I started reading reviews on my board, most said only good things, there was the odd complaint here or there, but I got it, and works flawlessly!

Nearly there but have to decide today for the Asus promotion its looking like either......

Asus ROG Maximus VIII Ranger - £120 after cashback (ends today)
ASRock Z170 Extreme 4 - £109

Which was the board you started off favouring before we suggested a load of others. :D:p:D

Strange isn't it that i did my research and made a decision and then doubted it  I think i just needed to make sure i had taken into account what all my options were and you guys certainly helped. :D

Thanks.
