I'm looking to spend about £150 on a new mp3 player and wondered what the contenders are atm.

The main one I see is the creative x-fi 32gb but I do also so the ipod touch (although the 16gb version is ~£200 :( ). The x-fi would be a sure winner if it had a web browser but without it I'm a little unsure.

The draw back of the touch is the expence and no radio (which I do tend to listen to a fair bit). Just wondering if there is any other ones I should be having a look at?

£150 ish preferably
16gb min
radio preferably

Cheers lads/ladies

Looking purely at your requirements a 16GB MP3 player with FM radio = Sony NWZ-S639 ~ £90

Not sure about the options beyond a Touch if you're really after a touchscreen WiFi web browsing gizmo.

Get the Cowon D2 8gb and then get an 8gb SDHC card for £9. Best sound available for what you want at the moment.

But if you're not much into video then get a Sansa clip.

Just got a 16gb Touch myself and its great, but if you don't want web browsing go for the iPod Nano 16gb, no radio or fancy touch screen, just a great music/vid player.

You had a look at the zune an english websites imports them,
I love mine and use it for music everytime over my touch which is only used for web browsing and games.

I would definitly reccomend the zune unless you use mac or linux as they are not supported unfortunatly.

Sony NWZ-S639F.
The 16Gb version is the same price as the 8gb version! £85

I've tried the Ipod Touch and Ipod Nano, the sound quality on the Sony is far superiour than the ipods.

If you want sound quality, go with Sony. However, I've not tried the Cowons.
