What music player do you use?

iTunes because of the iPhone, also I really like the TuneUp add on software that gives info on what's playing, but also cleans all my tracks that haven't got complete info.

I can tell the difference between 320Kbps MP3 & FLAC/ALAC using £30 Logitech speakers. So I'm sure he'll see a benefit :D

Is that a LAME encoded track @ -alt Insane preset and ripped by yourself or just some standard mp3 encoder at CBR/ABR?

I doubt you can tell the difference side by side if it's LAME encoded at an -alt preset!

Winamp for about 10 years. Nice, quick, simple and highly customisable. Loved the skins and vast keyboard shortcuts.
Forced to use iTunes since buying an iPhone last year. Although the library organisation has been a pleasant convenience, as a player it's total crap. No keyboard shortcuts for shuffle/repeat/jump-to-track and other such wonderful bits? Wdf tbh.

WMP, it's the only one that seems to work properly with the keyboard skiptrack/stop/play/pause buttons and im so used to the interface i can't bring myself to get used to anything else

I have a strong dislike for installing and updaying codecs ... so I use KMPlayer ... Oooopppsss, thought you guys meant media player. I sue the Zune player for music. Though I am concerned about it's playlist limitations ...

Just wanted to add my frustration at iTunes, it's corrupted my huge library 3 or 4 times for no apparent reason. Had to re-rate all of my tracks and recreate my playlists. Also wiped all the apps from my iPhone the other day after I'd formatted my PC and installed iTunes from fresh but with backup of my old library, cos of the stupid way it tethers 1 iPhone to 1 PC.
