What network is best suited for Samsung Galaxy S8?

I'm getting the Samsung Galaxy S8 but not sure which network to be on for it. I want it to be under £30 a month with no upfront cost and unlimited texts & minutes, plus with 4GB+ data.

Which network would suit that criteria?

You know this isn't a price comparison site right? :D

Uswitch usually finds some decent deals on mobile contracts!

I'm on Three, unlimited everything including data for £20/month after being with Orange/EE since year 2000. EE's service was good though but I was fed up playing £48 x 24 (so £1200) on a handset, so I sacked that off and went sim-only. Plus, all carriers seem to be pushing 3-year contracts now, so I had to break out of that cycle otherwise we're talking £1500+ effective for a handset.

Three's reception seems on par with EE so far.

Surely it also depends on which network has the best coverage for you in your area as well? 3 has some good deals but for me personally they had too many black spots where I usually work. EE I found is the best for coverage, but it varies from different areas so I would check first if any of the major networks covers your location very well.

Looking at 3's S8 deal they do have a £30 a month for 4GB data but it still requires £29 upfront. O2 has the S8 too but doesn't seem to fit with your budget. Vodafone has refurbs for £34 a month for 5GB data but £29 upfront. EE just doesn't seem to sell the phone any more.

Use uSwitch and Money Supermarket to see what suits your needs best. You can easily fit S9+ into your budget, nevermind a regular sized S8 which I believe isn't even getting the upcoming Android Q update on it.

Coverage is very dependant where you are, use the Ofcom website and their coverage checker to see what signal is like in your area.

Same here. It's getting out of control.

As for me, i have been with three, ee and now virgin media mobile (which uses the ee network).

Between all three, in the lounge i get 20mbps between all three, but i find the ee network or virgin to be a little bit more snappy when browsing but not enough to know the difference.

I did a speedtest and that is what i got, whilst not being a professional test that is.

Your samsung s8 should support all of the bands which every mobile network provider uses in the uk but i have not checked nor researched well a bit which was band 20 heh.

If it does not support every band out there then i think that is kind of disgusting for a flagship phone or former flagship phone.

Which network well as for me, your budget is under £30 a month so yeah.

Three unlimited data text and calls 24 month contract at 20 pounds a month > http://www.three.co.uk/standalone/priceplan-details?planid=1400715577762

or 22 pounds a month on a 12 month contract > http://www.three.co.uk/standalone/priceplan-details?planid=1400624204948

If you don't want a contract and want it like pay as you go style then smarty at 25 pounds a month with no contract all with unlimited data calls text > https://smarty.co.uk/plans/unlimited

yeah...

Anyways i wholeheartedly recommend a plan that gives you 100gb of data which is enough for me that is maybe to much for you.

If you want a plan with 4 or more gb of data i will list deals below once i have edited this post of mine.

This one is £10 a month with no contract 4gb of data> https://smarty.co.uk/plans/medium (smarty uses the three network)

This one is also £10 a month with no contract but has 6gb of data not 4gb as with smarty which is the above link > https://www.voxi.co.uk/plans (apparently from what i know voxi uses the vodafone network)

This one is also £12 a month but 4gb of data and is giffgaff and giffgaff uses the 02 network > https://www.giffgaff.com/sim-only-plans/12pound-goodybag < not sure if this one is contract or not..

This one is £9 a month and is idmobile and i don't know what network they use but cost £9 a month for unlimited calls and text and 4gb of data > https://www.idmobile.co.uk/buy-link/102803734/IDWIDWEB not sure if it is contract or not.

This one is sky mobile comes to £12 a month for unlimited calls and text and 4gb of data > https://www.sky.com/shop/mobile/plans/data not sure if it is contract again.

This one is vodafone and is a 12 month contract and has unlimited calls and text with 4gb of data instead of 1gb of data > https://www.vodafone.co.uk/lightbox/basics/1gb/ and is £8 a month.

So yeah vodafone is the winner here as in being the cheapest per month (£8 a month) but is a 12 month contract!

But the cheapest with no contract goes to voxi and smarty which comes to £10 a month or idnet @ 9quid a month but that is 30 days rolling.

Unless if you can get cashback that will lower your expenses regarding what network you go with.

I have left out sim only deals that did not have unlimited calls or text which is why i have chosen the above links.
