what new card is equal to 8800gt performance?

A week or so ago i was asking about a 5850 prices cause my 8800gt is on the way out, but im actually quite happy with the performance if it, it suits my needs quite well.

so now after many gpu related BSODs im looking to get a new card that is approximately equal in performance to my 8800gt.

whats recommended?

got no allegiance with either nvidia or ati, but i was thinking if i went for a cheap ati i could get another ati late and xfire with my amd 790fx chipset.

i dont really wana pay a lot, thats why i'm looking at performance equal to (or maybe a bit better, but certainly not worse than) the one i have now.

5750 Is slightly faster, 5770 has a decent performance edge. I'd put the money down on a 5770 if you could tho - much better potential and value for money in crossfire than 2x 5750.
