what new card

You've missed out every bit of useful information...

1) What size/res monitor? No one can suggest SLI/CF without that important bit of info for starters.

Best value right now in that range is still the 6950 2GB to me if unlocked.

well pc is set up to tv lcd 32 inch @ 1920 by 1080 for movies plus i have a 20 lcd inch monitor @ 1680 by 1050 for games and stuff :)

I would go with the 6950 2gb. The link below is the one i would go for as its cheap and will unlock to a 6970.

The next card i would get is the gtx480 which is as fast as a 6950 unlocked to a 6970 and is a little cheaper. It has 2 drawbacks which are its a loud card and is very power hungry. This is the one to get as the other gtx480 is overpriced.

The gtx570 and 6970 are also in your budget but you can get the same performance from a gtx480 or 6950 unlocked so there really is no point in recommending them.

GTX480 to be honest. Really isn't that loud... If you really wanna max out your 300 pounds. Get the GTX570. You will not see any performance increase though. Just uses less power.

Running a GTX480 in your living room would be truly horrible. Running two monitors in your living from a GTX480 would be grounds for devoice.

I would go for one of this lot in this order.
