For those with the extra time on your hands and with the unavailability of some of your usual foods choices what 'new foods' have you discovered/ sourced to supplement your eating plans?

For me so far these are some 'new' foods to me:

Chorizo. Wow how could I up to now have missed this spicy spanish sausage! Very tasty I like to include in a parika/ potatoe/ olive recipe.....

Olives...not been a fan in the past but they seem readily available on the shelves and I'm beginning to enjoy them and include in my bolognese and also my spanish chorizo recipe.

Frozen Basa fillets: Previous avoided....this is sometimes the only frozen fish available in my supermarket a form of vietnamese catfish. Fairly cheap & quite edible in a spicy recipes with vegetables & rice

Nothing really, I haven't had any huge issues. But then I tend to mix my cooking up a lot anyway.

Though it has inspired me to make sourdough, though a pain with flour shortages. Which has been fun.

Yes flour is really in short supply...was fortunate to stock up on enough flour for my pizza dough. We do have a huge flour mill in the town which is still operating however their shop only sells premium priced varieties (despite the fact they provide a lot of supermarket own brands ie waitrose essential etc .....I see them loading up in their yard) May have to give them a go when i get to run low...I know they also supply Pizza restauarants etc
