I personally feel 1.2gb dedicated vram and 3-4gb memory(Keeping in mind console OS would account for little of that) would be the console sweet spot. CPU is whatever they can muster cheap yet powerful at the time.
But a games console simply doesn't need 10GB of memory, what would it do with it or use it for??
Given it needs to be made at a certain price point, they aren't in the game of putting nice-to-haves in there for the sake of it when it only needs 2-4GB to do its job.
My only hope is the new consoles are just like the 360 and PS3 but faster.
I don't want any silly motion controllers or camera system.
I don't own a 360, but all I want is to have my current PS3 60GB but quieter and 4-5 times more powerful, with a 256GB SSD built it.
I look forward to the next generation of consoles . I will be hacked off if the next Playstation isn't backwards compatible though!
