What new lens should i get ?

looking for a new len for weddings and landscapes and a walk about len what would be best out of these 2 ?
Canon EF 16-35 F2.8L
Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L

what do you have at present? would be a good start as they lenses are two extremes and both work well for what you ask, i have a 17-40 for wide angles and the 24-105 for walkabouts, but both easily work well as a walkabout lense

For weddings I would seriously consider a 50mm F1.8 prime. This would mean you could go for a wide angle lens such as the 16-35 for landscapes/walkabout.

The lens i hve now are
50mm 1.8
70-200 f4 l

Unless you really need 2.8 I would also consider buying the 17-40 f4 L instead of the 16-35L and saving the extra money it;s a cracking lens.
