Now that I've finished with exams and have a very long 12 week holiday, I've made a list of things to occupy myself during the day, I've also applied for a job.

But I was wondering what sort of skill I could learn over the summer, any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Motorbikes don't really appeal to me, also I passed my driving test last year.

Just so you know the driving test for car's and motorbikes are different,.. i assume you know this but the way you've written it makes me unsure, so just to clarify :D

Otherwise, learn a programming language :)

Learn random things that just appeal to you. For example, over the summer I'll be doing these:

Practising drawing
Music related stuff
Working out
Learning a language
Programming
Calligraphy

Seems a lot, but I do a little bit of each every other day and keep it going in a routine. :)

What if it was a very short 12 week holiday - would that alter the choices? ;)

It might not sound like much fun but if you can learn how to give a good presentation that will probably stand you in good stead for the future. Apart from that learning another language is unlikely to be a waste of time, if nothing else it should give you greater appreciation of your own language.

Currently trying to get to grips with the OpenGL API. Also I plan to learn some more maths related things. Maybe you could learn gardening! :D
