Just sold both my 5870's and got a good price for them both £480:eek:
what do you suggest i do now
sit it out and wait for 6870 - 6990 and xfire ( or what ever they are called )
or 480 sli ?
reason i sold, sick of ati drivers and they are only going to loose even more money when the 6000 cards arrive.

i thought 470sli and 5870xfire were side by side ? or am i wrong ?
i just dont know if i can wait 4 - 5 weeks for ati, plus im sure the driver will be the same as ever

how hot do you reccon the top card would get ?
 
Kyle I only stated that im sick of the drivers ive not gone into any depth, the fact that when I run anyting other than 10.4 I run into problems, the fact powerplay can be a nightmare is enough for me to think its time to sell what I have and rethink.
And yes I think that come 6000 release, 5870's will be sub £200 or less on the mm, there not shifting now at £220 - 230.
If I need to upgrade I must sell what ive got to fund it, and now is /was the right time to sell.
people who run single cards may have different issues to what xfire users have, and im not the only xfire user on this forum who has issues and is selling their cards.
saying that, if the 5870 replacement is any good I will eat my words and get one of them or maybe 2.
Like I said though, its about money and the right time to sell in order for me to afford to upgrade / change.
