the 6800nu died, so what nvidia card should i replace it with?

im thinking the 6800gs PCIE is better than the agp one, and that company have several different makes of them.

Gigabyte Geforce 6800GS 256MB DDRIII DVI Fansink PCIE
MSI GeForce 6800GS 256MB PCIE
****Value GF 6800GS 256MB DDR3 PCI-E DVI

all of those are under 155, so which one would you choose? or should i try for a credit note and buy a different one from elsewhere ? sadly i dont have the money to add to get a 7800gt :(

Have you tryed the MM for a secondhand 7800gt..You should be able to get an secondhand one with warranty for that price.

7600GT - it is better than the GS.

OR as stated, a 7800GT should be going cheap, so that - it will rinse a 7600GT.

hmm, the 7600gt is looking to be a reasonable card, you just cant help thinking that it being 128bit and 10gb/s less bandwith than a 6800gs will affect it somehow.

XFX GeForce 7600 GT XXX Edition 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (PVT73G-UDD7) (GX-079-XF)

GeForce 7600 GT Core running at 590MHz
256MB GDDR3 Extreme Memory running at 1600MHz

that one looks the most promising, think it will go much higher ??

There's two XFX 6800 Ultras PCI-E in the MM if your interested..Don't know if the seller will split them..

there wont be any warranty on them, at least with a new card i will have a year. these guys have just about sold me a 7600gt anyway :p
thanks for taking the time to post tho!!

You have to let us know what the 7600gt is like after you receive it...I not seen any posts on these cards yet.

I don't think you will regret it.Its ceratianly a lot of bang for buck ;)
I have to agree. It is looking like a good card for the mid-range. You won't be disappointed, I shouldn't think.
