I have a Corsair h45 watercooler in my system for 4 years and want to replace the fan, I would like to find out the best fan. To go over the radiator I was looking at an ML120 or a Noctua NF-P12 redux-1300pwm. As a friend of mine said that the ML120 wouldn't be effective. Yet say that the Noctua would run slow yet have better airflow. The more I think about the more I'm confused.

Could anyone give any advice? Thank you :)

Arctic P12 PWM is great, the Noctua is great, the ML120 is great! The only real difference here is the Noctua is a the quietest, the ML120 is the most powerful because it has the highest RPM by far. All in all the Arctic P12 PWM sits in the middle for speed and is only marginally noisier than the noctua ( when they are running at the same RPM ) but is a lot, lot cheaper than either of the others, so it's a bit of a no brainier unless you really need the quietest or the most powerful. By the way the ML most certainly is effective, it is the fan that Corsair fit to their radiators these days. It's a very high pressure fan, perfect for radiators.

I mean I think all of them are suitable, because in reality you won't use even the RPM that the Noctua has. Anything much above 1200RPM and your cooler is making as much noise as a small light aircraft. I have all of those fans and I never run any of them higher than 1200rpm. If you want that extra headroom though then get the P12 or the ML120.

Just have to be careful which versions of the ML fan you buy. The standard (non-RGB) runs faster and has a higher static pressure than the RGB versions. 4.3 vs 1.78 unless OC have the iincorrect specs on the rgb version of the fan.

thanks for the help guys :) I got the new fans
I will look to install them in a few days.
